In the Book of Acts, Luke gives us a vivid description of the early Church.  For instance, in Acts chapter 2, Luke writes:

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. ... Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all as anyone had need. ... And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." (Acts 2:42-47, NKJV)

For a modern-day example of the early Church, let's turn our attention to Cuba.  While Cuba is experiencing severe shortages of food, fuel, electricy, water, and medicine, and while many Cubans are fleeing the island, the Cuban Church is actually growing.  And on today's Footsteps, Ken Cummins, the station manager of Missionary Radio in Hopkinsville, KY, gives an account of a church service that he attended in Cuba.  Truly, it sounds much like Luke's description above.  I encourage you to listen to today's episode and then pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Cuba.
