TWR's first mission field was Spain.  As "The Voice of Tangier," TWR used a 2,500 watt army surplus transmitter to broadcast from the northernmost tip of Morocco, across the Strait of Gibraltar, and into Spain.  While technology, TWR's equipment, and our transmitting location have changed, Trans World Radio is still broadcasting the Gospel of Jesus Christ into Spain--now through our national partner, Canal de Vida.  One thing that hasn't changed for TWR is the lack of a radio license in Spain.  According to Fernando Diaz Sarmiento, Canal de Vida's Executive Director, evangelical Christians still don't receive radio licenses in his country.
