On today's Footsteps, Dr. Zenet Maramara of Asian Theological Seminary tells the story of a Filipino woman named Kathy.  This former ATS student wound up ministering in Pakistan.  As Zenet puts it, for a single woman to lead a ministry in Pakistan "it's a no-no!"  I'm sure it's difficult, and Kathy likely faces varying degrees of persecution.  Still, she remains in the field to which God has called her.

Often the life of a missionary in a foreign country is not easy.  But according to David Platt, president of the Southern Baptist Convention's International Mission Board, "The completion of the Great Commission will include great suffering, but eternity will prove it was worth the price."(1)
