Every one of us has traditions and experiences that we would connect with a "Classic Christmas" and what it means for us. But what does the ultimate Classic Christmas look like?
This wonderful Christmas video was made by the creative team at Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara - https://calvarysb.com - in 2019. It captures something of the message of Christmas and tells it in a Santa Barbara setting. Congratulations to Oscar Gomez, Daniel Hendrickson, Kevin Shrout, and Zak Shellabarger and the rest for their excellent work on this. Narration by Taylor Bramsen.
David Guzik continues in his teaching series on the book of Jeremiah. In chapters 40-42 we see how the prophet is being rescued out of captivity, and God's blessing on those who remain in the land of Israel.

Join us for message number 23 in the book of Jeremiah, taught by Pastor David Guzik! In chapter 36 we see how God commands the prophet to write the prophecies into a scroll, and the following chapter describes how the prophet appears before king Zedekiah, after being imprisoned and released.
Psalm 136 is a special psalm, with each one of its 26 verses repeating the sentence, His mercy endures forever. Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures, the phrase has somewhat of a liturgical sense to it, as if the assembled people of Israel said or sung this in response to the direction of the Levites leading singing and worship. We picture a great multitude of the people of God gathered in the temple courts. A priest or Levite would call out a reason to give God thanks, and His people would respond with, “For His mercy endures forever.”
Consider how great the mercy of God is, as it is expressed in the person and work of Jesus Christ throughout this wonderful psalm!
Psalm 100 is a psalm of thanksgiving, and it speaks of an invitation to the whole earth to know and to worship God.
Pastor David Guzik gives the what and why of giving praise and the what and why of giving thanks.
