There is great blessing in singing Psalms and spiritual songs. Why? In those Psalms in particular is revealed the great truths of faith in God, primarily the revelation of the nature and ways of God. The remembrance of these truths, and the goodness of God, inspires the singing soul to trust Him increasingly, and more consistently. God reveals Himself to the heart by His joy and gladness in singing in this manner.
