Christ is depicted in Scripture as the Eternal Rock. Why? He is first that One who rises above all creation around Him, revealing Himself to be the singular most important and glorious object for faith. Secondly, in the fact that He is the Rock that is eternal in every aspect of His being, He provides mankind with the knowledge that He is perfect strength and power, authority and sovereignty. He is thus worthy of the entire trust of men, especially concerning salvation.
