The plagues of Egypt directly targeted Egypt’s false gods, proving the superiority of Israel’s God. Each plague dismantled the supposed power of a particular deity, leaving no doubt that the true Creator rules over all. Today, God still reminds us not to look to creation for what only He can provide.
