The sacrifice of Christ on Calvary had for its great objective to glorify God. How? Was it for the payment for our sins alone that He died? It is true that the sins of men of necessity had to be dealt with. But, Christ accomplished this so as to remove a barrier between God and man, so that He could come by the Spirit to dwell in the believer, and reveal the eternal fruits of His life in and through the believer, and this, abundantly.
