The anointing of God is that special application of the Spirit of God for all that God desires to accomplish in and through the believer. Christ was anointed by the Spirit for His work of redemption. There was never a moment when the Spirit was not supplying Him will every resource in the Father, so that He could accomplish His mission. The same anointing belongs to every child of God, so that by the Spirit of Christ he too may accomplish the will of God.
