The Scriptures tell us that the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. The power and authority of Christ is expressed and applied by Spirit in answer to faith in His name. The great commission, to reach the world for Christ, carrying forth not only His word but revealing His Person, is only possible by the power and authority in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the name of God, and specifically with regard to the gospel, the use of the name of Christ, the power of God will operate in answer to faith to accomplish the mission.
