You Were There!

In this sermon on Romans 6:3–5, Stephen Davey explains that every person begins life imprisoned in sin through Adam, but believers are set free through their union with Christ. This freedom comes because Christians are identified with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection—meaning they have died to the reign of sin and been raised to a new life. Davey emphasizes that salvation is not merely forgiveness but transformation, shifting believers from justification to sanctification, where they now live under a new authority and purpose. Because they are united with Christ, believers cannot continue living in sin as before but are called to walk in a new life marked by spiritual power, identity, and obedience.
