It is one thing to trust God for the forgiveness of sins because of the finished work of Calvary, and the power of the Spirit to save. It is quite another to trust Christ to fill the believer by the Spirit, and thus, by faith, take Jesus Christ as his or her life, putting ON the Lord Jesus. That which is essential for both needs, and at the same time eternal blessing, is faith in the faithfulness of God according to His word.
