The good news of salvation was given to the nation of Israel to be communicated to the ends of the earth, to the gentile world. When Jesus gave to His disciples "The Great Commission," that mission and vision was given was immediately expanded. When the Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost, there was the confirmation by God that He had now provided abundantly by the Spirit all that was necessary to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, to Jew and Gentile alike, for, as Scripture declares: "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
