There is a very different attitude and reaction between the true believer in Christ, and the non-believer with regard to Christ's appearing. For the believer, it is a moment of great, and blessed meeting, an eternal transformation into the image of Christ, with His joy, peace, and love being fully known. For the unbeliever, it is a moment of mourning, of fear, of regret which will never end, for in that meeting will be the realization that the unbeliever chose wrongly, having believed the world and Satan's lies, only to arrive at a point of no return.
