Babylon was a place of captivity. But it was also a place where the Spirit of God moved in hearts that they should pray, and be answered. Such was the experience of Daniel, who read in the book of Jeremiah, concerning the rebuilding of the temple of Jerusalem. He prayed according to Scritpure, imploring the Lord in His mercy to accomplish His perfect will in this regard. The Lord answered His prayer...even from Babylon.
