Establishing and pursuing goals is so important in life. Unfortunately, some individuals never set or pursue
goals and others lose focus of their goals leading to a great disappointment in life. What happens if we
don’t continue pursuing godly goals?
As Christians, we should view ourselves as living in a universal neighborhood with absolutely no restriction on who we should be reaching out to. Now that we have established the extent of the neighborhood let’s take a look at what it takes to be a good neighbor.
Many nations set aside a day to remember those who have given their lives to defend freedom. We can thank God for those individuals and their families who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Freedom only comes with a price. There has never been any freedom or liberty without the shedding of blood and great sacrifice.
Everyone wants to celebrate Christmas, but not many want to celebrate the Christ of Christmas. I want to remind you that you can’t have Christmas without Christ.
Prayer is the pole that connects us to the source of power. Regardless of past contact, or future ambitions, if we are not connected at this moment, we are powerless to move forward. I want to talk today about prayer. Have you ever stopped and taken the time to think about prayer? Where would you be if someone had not prayed for you?
Today we seek to face and defeat another incredible giant of the heart, one which strikes all of us at one time or another, the giant of Adversity. Adversity is misfortune, trouble, or affliction that
comes our way because we are human beings. The fact of the matter is that life can be and is incredibly unfair at times. Jesus told his disciples that “the rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous,” Matthew
5:45. Adversity is common to all of us and it certainly is no respecter of persons.
