A Good Conscience Before God
To walk in the light is to live in the truth of God's word. It means also to not have a controversy with God, that being having a knowledge of the truth, but not believing in God on that point, submitting to Him. A good conscience is one where there is no cloud of disagreement between God and His child on any matter. Clean hands and a pure heart are possible at any moment because of the powerful, precious blood of Christ.
The Newness That Endures
When God works, He makes all things new. How can this be? It is so by virtue of Christ who is everlastingly the same. He is in essence always "new," never aging. HIs mercies are therefore new every morning. And every act of His is "new." Nothing that He does is of sin, decay, and age. He always gives that which is new, even one day creating a new heaven and a new earth, wherein His righteousness fully dwells. In that new creation there will be fulness of His "new" and blessed joy.
The Imperative of Stillness
Stillness and peace go hand in hand in the economy and kingdom of God. Where He reigns there is His peace, a peace of mind and heart that increases, as His reign increases. Stillness, or quietness of heart, is essential to detect and obey the inward impulses of the Spirit of God. God speaks to the heart by His word, confirming and convincing the soul that He is speaking when there is the quiet conviction and peace that He gives.
The Great Constant Worthy Is The Lamb
All things with regard to God are constant, and unchanging. However, from heaven's standpoint, and the believer's true perspective, the worship of the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, not only is this fact a constant reality, but it will be throughout eternity the subject of eternal worship of God in His worthiness revealed in creation, but also, in the worthiness of the Lamb, the Redeemer and Savior of all who will truly believe. The constant of His worthiness will never change.
Resting The Proof Of Faith
The great confirmation and proof of God's direction and blessing is the peace and assurance that He gives to the heart. Sometimes it requires a good bit of time, and prayer, to come to a place of rest. This is because God desires to quietly prove to our hearts that the way upon which we walk is His way, in His time, for His glory. The peace of God is a testimony to the rest of faith.
The Changing Of Empires
The Eternal God is the God of empires, not in that He is the maker of them, but in that He is sovereign over them, there being no authority or power greater than His. Although the empires of men are flawed and failing, the Sovereign God works in spite of them, accomplishing His Divine purposes. He will never fail, and His kingdom is everlasting.
God's HIghway
The "highway" of God is that way which He has accomplished, with Christ finishing the work of redemption. Is that very holy way that is "high" with respect to the worth and effectiveness of it. God is known only by the way that He has provided through Christ. Therefore, it is a certain way by which fallen, and redeemed man, can truly know God, know His love, and love Him in return.
The God Of The Sanctuary
God's call to man is first to worship, for in the true worship of God in "Spirit and truth," He reveals Himself to the heart and mind. God responds to the individual who is willing to worship Him, reverence and adore Him. True service is born out of worship, for in beholding the Lord, living in the reality of His presence, faith is strengthened and renewed. God reveals Himself by the Spirit to the one who will truly worship Him according to His word.
The Essential Of Simplicity
God, in dealing with us, is very clear in His working. Though there are many things which we cannot grasp, yet, He meets us where we are. His words are at the same time infinitely deep, and yet simple and straightforward. There is no confusion with Him. He is the God of light, and delights in clarity.
God's Confirmation Of The Calling
God is able to convict of sin, and save. He also is able to confirm to the heart that which is truly of Him, especially His calling of an individual. As the gifts and calling are without repentance, and as the believer has the duty to make his calling sure, certainly God can be sought and found to make clear the calling of God for one's life.
