Lord of the Sabbath - Part 1
Today’s lesson will focus on Jesus' teaching about the Sabbath. We won’t finish the entire teaching today, but we will continue it next time. If you can turn to the end of Mark 2 and follow along, we will delve into Jesus’ teaching on the Sabbath.
A Model for Leaders
Our lesson today is from Mark 3, and we will examine the example of Jesus to learn how we can become better leaders. Learning about leadership from the best leader is a great place to start.
Live Life to the Fullest: Part 2
The Bible is a valuable resource for learning about God and His will for humanity. Last time, in Colossians 3, we examined two imperatives for living life to the fullest. They let the peace of Christ officiate and allow the Word of Christ to educate. Today is a continuation of this teaching, and the third one is to let the name of Christ motivate all we do.
Lord of the Sabbath Part 2
We know Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. It was His idea, and we can trace the foundation back to creation. He won’t force us to do it, but when we honor His instruction, we are blessed. Bible teacher J Mark will read the passage from Mark 2 and then share today’s teaching with us.
A Fruitful Life - Part 1
It is so good to be with you again today. Thank you for joining us as we study God’s Word. Jesus was a master teacher; we can all learn from how he taught and interacted with his audience. Over and over, we see Him speaking to the people in parables. This is such a great way to connect with and engage the audience. Today in Mark 4, we get to the first parable in the book of Mark, and in these verses, Jesus even gives us part of the reason he speaks in parables. I am guessing this is not your first time hearing this parable, but I am sure there is something here for all of us to learn.
