Purity is a hard topic these days.

Talking to your teen about sex can be awkward—but if we’re silent, culture isn’t. It’s shouting lies that confuse and distort God’s design. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 says, “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.” Purity isn’t about shame. It’s about living the beautiful life God intended. Start the conversation. Be honest, age-appropriate, and biblical. Talk about boundaries, respect, and the “why” behind waiting. As Christians, make it about honoring God, not rules. Remind them of grace—no one is perfect, but Jesus restores. Don’t just say “no”—paint a vision of “yes” to God’s best. Teens don’t need lectures. They need love, clarity, and truth. And remember: purity isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual too.
