“My teacher said I can be a girl if I want to.” That’s a confusing moment for any Christian parent—and your child. Start with truth. Genesis 1:27 says, “Male and female He created them.” God designed us purposefully—body, mind, and soul. Science agrees. Every cell in our bodies—over 30 trillion of them—carries either XY (male) or XX (female) chromosomes. Males and females also have different bone structures, brain wiring, and hormone patterns. That’s not hate—it’s biology. When your child hears conflicting messages, don’t panic. Ask questions, listen, and gently affirm what God and science both say: “You were created wonderfully and on purpose.” (Psalm 139:14) You’re not just parenting—you’re discipling. Don’t shy away from truth, even when culture does.
