We live in an instant gratification world.

Fast food, Google searches, Facebook posts, likes, text messages—our kids are involved in a culture where instant gratification is the promise of the day. If you want something, you get it. “There must be an app for that,” right? Is there an app for building relationships? How about an app that’ll provide your kids with a job, spouse, family, and, ultimately, a relationship with Christ? We need to teach our kids the Scripture that says, “The Lord is good to those who wait…for Him, To those who seek Him” (Lamentations 3:25, AMP). As a parent, are we practicing patience? Are we waiting on the Lord? And are we seeking Him? Let’s help turn our kids’ desire for instant gratification into Christ being their only satisfaction.
