The family up the street appears to have it all together. The father has a six-figure salary. His wife is home, volunteers at school, and busses the kids all over. And their kids: they’re not only great students but they’re also star athletes. How can you compare with THAT? Fortunately, you don’t have to. God gave you the family you have for a reason. He’s entrusted your kids to you to raise the way YOU’VE been gifted to raise them—in your own unique way. Maybe you’re a homeschool family, and you struggle with organization. Or maybe you’re a single-parent family with its own challenges. Or, maybe your relationship with your spouse could be better, and your kids are a handful. Remember Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust God, not yourself. Acknowledge Him, and He’ll guide you.
