The Principle And Power Of Thanksgiving
There is power in giving thanks, a power that aligns oneself with God, the giver of every good and perfect gift. It is an act of faith in the goodness of God, the faithfulness of God, who provides all that we need when we need it, as we trust in Him. The blessed Giver of all things good is glorified, and well-pleased, when we give thanks from a sincere heart.
The Power Of The Blood Of Christ
There is only one source of cleansing by the sacrifice of Christ. It is the precious blood of Christ. Why? Because in it, the eternal Father has put a capacity, an energy, a power to abundantly cleanse, wash away, and purge from ALL sin. There is no sin that the blood of Christ cannot cleanse, and remove forever.
Oneness In Communion With God
God the Father has put every one of His children, at the moment of their conversion, into Jesus Christ as their Life. It is there, and out of that union, that true communion with God becomes possible. All is possible by the Spirit by virtue of this living union with Christ.
God Meeting Us Today
The great, and yet, terrible sacrifice of Christ on Calvary was accomplished that men might, by His work and the power of His Spirit, should come into the very presence of God, to know true and profound communion with Him. This is the calling of all who would believe, to "enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise," there to worship Him with full assurance of faith.
Christ's Greatness In The Life
What is the measure and meaning of greatness? From Heaven's standpoint it is that worth that God the Father puts upon all living things, in particular His beloved Son, the worthy Lamb of God. But what about those things that Christ does, accomplishes in the hearts and lives of men? Is not the smallest thing, as well as the big thing, great in the sight of God, if Christ is the author of it. It must be, for all the glory will be God's and that manifested in Christ.
The Possibility And Power Of Thoroughness
Willingness to be "thorough" in our dealings with God, and in response to His dealings with us, is the testimony of true faith. God seeks those who will be wholehearted, and unhesitatingly responsive to His direction in the life. The reward of such an attitude is truly meeting God, and God by His Spirit, revealing Himself to the heart.
The Abiding Comforter
It is one thing to be comforted by God at a single moment in time. It is quite another to realize, and count upon Christ by His Spirit, to be ALWAYS with us, ever waiting to comfort us in the difficult moments of life. It is in those moments when the Spirit of Christ reveals to us the love, goodness, and purposes of God.
Knowing God As Our Comforter
We discover something of the comforting presence of the Spirit of God when we look at the Lord Jesus who is our Comforter. The Spirit of Christ, ever present, and all sufficient to meet every need of mind and heart, is that One who communicates to us the comfort, and consolation of Christ, never failing, never forsaking.
If If Be A Man Of God
What does it mean to be a man of God? The answer resides in the confirmation of the calling and blessing of God upon a man. When that occurs, there is the manifestation of God in and through the life, for God calls a man, equips him, and teaches him to walk with Him, so that He may reveal His power and authority by his words and deeds. A man of God is not proved by what he may say of himself, but by the testimony of God upon him by the Spirit.
Guided Into All Truth
Only God can lead us into a knowledge of the things of God. Only the Spirit of God can reveal the truth of God to our hearts. He takes the objective word of Scritpure, makes it come alive in the mind and heart, even causing it to burn in our hearts, to convince us of its truthfulness. Only by trusing Christ, by the Spirit, to lead us into all truth will we know the truth, and be enabled to live by it.
