Everything By Faith

In the Christian life, the basic principle by which all is made possible in one's experience, is faith. It is a gift of God, charcterized by a whole-hearted trust in God, stretching forth one's hands to Christ, taking Him to be Savior and Lord. The faith that God gives enables the believer to receive, or appropriate, the Lord Jesus for all things, and in every place. It is faith that tastes and sees that the Lord is good.

Walk In Truth

The Christian is called upon to be as was His Lord, and this by the power of the Spirit. This is only possible when the walk before God is one in truth. True is equated with Light in the word of God, and we know that we are called upon to walk in the light, in the transparency of honesty before God, according to the truth that we know. It is there, and then, that God commands the blessing, for we are well-pleasing in His sight.

The New Beginning The Spirit's Working

What is a new beginning, spiritually speaking, but the moving and working of the Holy Spirit in the life. It may be the cleansing from sin, or the giving of a new direction in life. It may be the unveiling of Christ in a different, and most wonderful manner. Regardless of the type of new beginning, it is always by the Spirit of God. It is in this that we rejoice, that God is willing and able to meet every individual in such a way as to give them a new beginning for His glory.

The Eternally Present Guide

Scripture tells us that it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. Why? It is because of his overwhelming limitations, and moresoe, his sinful nature. When God saves a man, Christ becomes his Shepherd, his Light, his Guide. The Spirit of God becomes that one who leads him into all truth. To the one who would truly be led of God, and who is willing to follow Christ fully, the path will be made straight and clear, accompanied by the peace that Christ gives.

The Eternal King

What is our vision of God? Do we see Him as Isaiah saw Him, "The King?" Christ declared to His disciples that ALL power had been given to Him in earth and heaven. This means that He is King, Lord, Ruler, All-Mighty God. The basis of personal, victorious faith, is the true vision of God, according to the Scriptures, and the understanding of His ways in dealing with men. Christ always received those who came to Him...never casting them out. He also saved all who truly, and earnestly sought Him.

Encouraging Oneself In God

When trial come, and the unexpected appears to be too great an obstacle to conquer, it is at that moment that one is to turn towards God, encouraging oneself in Christ. It is in resting in Him, relying wholly upon Him, after having committed all to Him, that all of His promises become very real to the heart. It is also at that point, that in seeking earnestly His face, that He meets the needs of the heart.

Christ Creator And Redeemer

When God revealed Himself to Moses as "I AM THAT I AM," he brought Moses and the people of Israel into another aspect of understanding just who He was, is, and evermore shall be. As Creator and Redeemer of men, the Lord Jesus would speak of Himself as the I AM. Why? Eternity of God runs deep and strong in every revelation of Himself, so that faith can trust Him beyond sight and sense, believing Him to be all that He desires to be, and reveal Himself in the life of the one who will truly trust in Him.

The Power Of The Word

In the spiritual realm, words are ineffective unless they are accompanied by power, specifically the power of God. That which is in every word of God, and working through each word in this creation, specifically in the hearts of men, is the power of God to save, transform, and to eternally bless those for whom Christ died. It is in the act of speaking in power, that God changes lives and circumstances to bring about His purposes.

The Law Of The Spirit

What does Scripture mean by the "Law of the Spirit?" Is this not a contradiction of terms, Law and Spirit? No, but it is an explanation of the established reality that there is no deviation, or change, in the fact that the Spirit of God has been given to the church, to indwell her, fill her, so that Christ be formed in her. The individual believer has all in Christ, by the Spirit of God, for the glory of God. This is truth and reality.

The Faith Filled Christ

The Lord Jesus is both our example of true godliness and the very power of an indestructible Life. With regard to his example, He lived a faith-filled life, one that was wholly lived by faith. We too are called to live in this perspective, though with limitations. That which was the result of a perfect faith filled life was the perfect manifestation of the power of God to live such a life. He received from the Father all power and authority by His perfect faith, and this as our example, and proof of the faithfulness of God.
