We’ve been studying the lives of four teenaged Jewish boys, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who were taken into captivity by the Babylonians. We’ve seen them removed from their family and its Godly influence, trained in pagan culture, and tempted with things that would make ANYONE want to compromise. Taking a stand - part 1
Taking a stand for Jesus Christ has always resulted in persecution – and it’s getting worse. It's been reported that more Believers were killed in the 20th century than in all 19 centuries after the birth of Christ combined. Today on Grace Notes, Barbara Sandbek will begin the Biblical story of what four teenaged boys endured because of their stand for the Lord. We pray that this true story of faith and obedience will encourage you to do the same.
Think Right Thoughts - Conclusion
Barbara Sandbek will complete our study on ‘Thinking Right Thoughts’. Philippians 4 verse 8 has been our text for this series. Through studying each phrase we’ve discovered that we need to focus on things of the Lord - things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely and admirable. TRUE things are God’s WORD. NOBLE things are God’s WAYS. RIGHT things are God’s WILL. PURE things are God’s WISDOM. LOVELY things are God’s WORKS. and ADMIRABLE things are God’s WONDERS. These and only these are excellent and praise-worthy things on which to think. Paul's exhortation to "think about such things" is followed by a second exhortation in his next verse, "put it into practice". So, as we conclude, let see how right thinking produces right actions.

So far, in our study on ‘Thinking Right Thoughts’ we’ve found that according to Philippians 4 verse 8, God’s WORD, God’s WAYS, God’s WILL, God’s WISDOM and GOD’S WORKS are right things to think about. The next phrase in the verse says to think on things that are ADMIRABLE. What are they? Well…just look out your window. On this program, Barbara Sandbek will share about God’s WONDERS.

What is pure?
Our topic in this series is ‘Thinking Right Thoughts’. Philippians 4 verse 8 is our text. It says.. Whatever is TRUE whatever is NOBLE whatever is RIGHT whatever is PURE, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is ADMIRABLE; If anything is excellent or praise worthy THINK ABOUT SUCH THINGS. So far, we’ve found that God’s WORD is TRUE – it’s the standard to use in judging WHAT to think about. God’s WAY is NOBLE – it’s the method to use in EXERCISING God’s Word. And God’s WILL is RIGHT - It’s what we should follow to live out God’s word. On this program, Barbara Sandbek will define what PURE thinking is.
What is RIGHT?
We’ve all heard the saying ‘The mind is a terrible thing to waste’. We can waste our minds by thinking unproductive thoughts. Philippians 4:8, our main text for this series, says Whatever is TRUE whatever is NOBLE whatever is RIGHT whatever is PURE, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is ADMIRABLE; If anything is excellent or praise-worthy THINK ABOUT SUCH THINGS. On our program today, Barbara Sandbek will define what thinking is RIGHT.
What is Noble?
A man's life is governed by his thoughts. He will ultimately become what he dwells upon most in his mind. This is the reason for Paul's instruction in Romans 12 verse 2, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind". It’s important that we THINK RIGHT THOUGHTS. That’s the subject of our current series on Grace Notes. Barbara Sandbek will elaborate on what it means to think about things that are noble.
