In Luke 10:1-24, Jesus encourages and equips 72 of his disciples to spread the good news of His story. He warned them that not everyone will welcome them with open hearts and ears, but they should continue pressing on and spreading the Gospel.
We have the honor of getting a tiny glimpse into the sacrificial love of God through marriage. But Jesus’ action on the cross was the ultimate and tangible example of sacrificial, unrelenting, passionate love. In Luke 23:1-43, we see Jesus facing death on the cross to restore humanity.
One of the reasons why we know prayer is vital to our relationship with God is that Jesus prayed literally all the time. He would wake up early in the morning or head out to a quiet place to speak with his Father. One moment in particular in John 17:1-26 Jesus prays for freedom and wholeness for his disciples.
The phrase “good news” is used through Scripture, but what news is it talking about specifically? It’s talking about the news that Jesus has come to restore humanity back to God’s original intent by conquering death once and for all. In John 14:1-14, Jesus explains the good news to his disciples.
Anger is an issue that everyone will experience at some point or another. Whether it’s because of a person or a situation, we all have the ability to lose our temper. IN Luke 6:27-39, Jesus reminds believers that in all times, no matter the circumstance ,we are called to love others, even if it’s someone who aggravates us.
