Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He was born of a woman, Mary, in a stable in Bethlehem. The story of his miraculous and human birth is found in Luke 1:26-45.
There is always a purpose to our trials beyond what we can see or understand. Many times the thing that causes us the most pain has an incredible purpose to bring God glory. We see this lesson in John 9, when Jesus heals a man from blindness.
Although not everyone always understood what He meant, Jesus was not timid about sharing His identity. In John 5, Jesus heals the paralyzed man laying at Bethesda. Upon receiving his healing, the Jewish leaders told him that he was forbidden to carry his mat because it was the Sabbath. He goes on to tell them that Jesus told him to pick it up and walk and claims his sonship to the Father.
