Ever hear your teen say, “Just five more minutes”? Before you know it, they’ve been scrolling for hours. Social media can steal time and change our kids if we’re not careful. As parents, it’s our job to help them set boundaries—loving ones. I wish I had kept a phone out of my daughter’s hands until 18, but we didn’t. So, here are some tips. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:12, “I will not be mastered by anything.” Social media can be just a fun thing to use occasionally—but also a master if unchecked. If you allow a phone, create a media plan together. Talk about what’s healthy, what’s holy, and what honors God. When we shepherd our teens with grace and truth, we’re not just managing screens—we’re discipling hearts.
