John 8:12-59

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Did you know Jesus said this while He debated with the religious leaders about who He was and how they could have eternal life? Hear more from the Savior of the world about His purpose and His priorities, explained in John 8. Learn how to yield to God and enjoy this life free of anxiety.

John 8:1-12

The religious rulers thought if they couldn’t out-argue Jesus, then they would trap Him. When they brought forward a woman caught in adultery, they really didn’t want to stone her, they wanted to stone Jesus for breaking Moses’ Law. But once again, Jesus knew people’s hearts, and whatever He wrote in the sand sent them all away speechless. Witness Jesus outsmart the smartest.

John 7:7-53

A storm is brewing over Jerusalem and the first century world is hostile towards Jesus. Why? Because He’s upending the traditional ways people thought they could save themselves. And nobody likes to have their sin pointed out. Pay close attention to how Jesus divides those who will believe and those who will be condemned.

John 6:55-7:6

In many ways, the recent events in our study in John have drawn a line in the sand. Will you follow the Lord or turn away? When Jesus asked Peter which he would do, he said, “Where would we go? You have the words of eternal life.” Jesus was on His Father’s schedule as every step led to the Cross. But He would go in His own time and in His own way.

John 6:22-54

How do election, free will, predestination, and God’s will all fit together? Get insight and understanding on these immense concepts as we listen in on Jesus’ teaching to a stiff-necked group of men in the synagogue at Capernaum.

John 6:1-21

Perform a miracle and you’re going to draw a crowd. Thousands of people sought Jesus out in Galilee because they wanted to see more miracles, not necessarily because they believed He was Messiah. But for the sake of the lesson and because of His compassion, Jesus miraculously fed them all from a little boy’s lunch. Then it took another miracle on the stormy sea to get alone again with the disciples.

John 5:25-47

Ever wonder if Jesus defended Himself against all the criticism He received when He walked the earth? In this thoughtful, deep debate, Jesus presents timeless arguments for His purpose on earth and in things to come. If you’ve wondered how the New Testament points to the Old Testament, listen in to Jesus’ explanations.

John 5:1-24

As Jesus’ ministry of healing became more popular, He got the attention of the religious leaders. Set aside the fact that a man lame for 38 years picked up his bed and walked, per Jesus’ command, the religious leaders objected to this miracle happening on the Sabbath! Jesus gets right to the heart of this issue in this study on His proclaimed deity.

John 4:21-54

Even in Bible times, people had worship wars. How to worship, where to worship, when to worship—Jesus addressed these issues with a curious Samaritan woman before He headed back to Cana to transform the lives of other people who were at their own crisis points.

John 3:17-4:20

Racism existed in Bible times, too. When Jesus had a conversation (one of His longest recorded in the Bible) with a Samaritan—and a woman—He was bumping up against a lot of Jewish prejudice. Come eavesdrop on Jesus’ gentle words for a curious, broken woman and see how her testimony changed the whole town.
